Replacement backing plate for the small Mugen emblem, designed for grilles such as the TSX/CL9 Mugen grille where the emblem mounts to the mesh. As these grilles age the factory backing plate often breaks, causing the emblem to fall off. Replacement metal emblems are available separately, but a matching backing plate is not, and this plate restores an OEM-correct style. The emblem sits snug in the plate and is retained by its factory adhesive, while the plate itself is secured to the mesh using epoxy or hot glue.
